Oertel does not include an account of Michael (gen. 3) as an adult, because he had moved away from the parish of Backnang, and he also does not show Johann Georg as Michael’s son. The essay linked below is the result of research to resolve the questions on both Georg’s parentage and the premarital status of his wife, which Oertel had left unresolved. It also attempts to give complete chronological information on each direct-line ancestor’s children and their spouses.
