The only known documentation on this family is the first two baptisms of children to Agnes: Evangelische Kirche Gerlingen, Dekanat Ditzingen, Kirchenbücher, Band 1, Taufregister 1560–1705, 8 recto, right column, sixth entry, and 11 recto, left column, fourth entry. It has been claimed that her father was actually a Michael Kling of Magstadt, whose daughter also married a man from Gerlingen, but this claim is not substantiated by the Gerlingen registers.
